    I’ve read this week that there may be a correlation between a combination of consuming turmeric each day and getting a good dose of Vitamin D and a much lower incidence of Alzheimer’s disease. That theory came about because India has one of the lowest rates of Alzheimer’s disease of any nation and they get liberal doses of both. Researchers believe that the Vitamin D stimulates the immune system and turmeric cleans plaques that accumulate in the brain which affect short-term memory.
